Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial Council to build the
Woodbury Veterans Memorial.
Memorial Day Service
May 30, 2011
The annual Memorial Day Service was held on May 30, 2011 at the Woodbury Lions Veterans Memorial, located at Woodbury City Hall, 8301 Valley Creek Road (at the intersection with Radio Drive), Woodbury, MN 55125 . The program began at 11:00am with the Presentation of Colors, an invocation from Pastor Tim Marshall from Woodbury Lutheran Church, welcoming remarks from Woodbury Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens and a keynote address from Woodbury Lt. Col. Barbara O坦eilly, former Chief of the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program for the State of Minnesota, and a special reading by Ken Drevnick father of Minnesota Army National Guard Soldier, Specialist Daniel Paul Drevnick, of Woodbury who was killed in action while serving in Iraq.
Participants will included a color guard from the Woodbury High School Jr. ROTC, the Civil Air Patrol – St. Croix Composite Squadron, along with members of the Woodbury VFW Post 9024 and Woodbury American Legion Post 501, the Minnesota Fire Service Memorial Pipe Band.
